Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship(gentle music) - It's interesting how the Twin Ports has a really rich history of chess that is not really well known.
This is not the actual chess club, it's just a side event, we're trying to encourage the public to come out and experience chess.
We get a lot of kids.
It's a good environment to come out and, you know, you're not just thrown against a tough guy or something right away.
You're kind of getting a nice, smooth uptake in your skills.
I find there's a lot of people, they hear about chess and they kind of get a little intimidated.
It's one of those myths that like, if that's keeping you away from chess, you gotta just understand that everybody loses all the time, you know?
Some people really like the tactics.
Some people like just the fight itself, whatever it is, you have to really just enjoy chess.
