This is good.
Next, Steve Goldbloom takes us to the 4th dimension in media.
We're here at DAQRI, the industry's leading augmented reality developer, helping businesses leverage the latest in computer human interactions.
It that made no sense to you, you're not alone.
[music playing] DAQRI is a company that creates-- makes 4D creative tools.
So 4D uses computer vision and augmented reality to tell stories where you're at.
Clearly, in education, you know, the medium can help you learn faster and-and retain more.
And h-here's a free app that uh, helps you learn human anatomy using 4D.
And then on the factory floor, it's all about knowledge transfer and visualization.
Um, I'm doing something complex and I need to be able to look at it and understand it.
So are you a "Maxim" subscriber?
No, obviously not.
OK.
Uh, but I-- Obviously.
I-- what am I watching here?
This is the-- this is the-- This is behind the scenes.
This is the photo shoot?
This is from-- from the photo shoot.
OK. One of the things that we talk about is the viewer is the director.
But in this scenario, Noah is the director.
Yeah, uh-huh.
So but what you're saying is that we don't really need him.
Well, we do need him-- no, we absolutely need him.
He could be-- be replaced soon.
We need-- And we don't have to use them anymore.
Well.
OK, so we're entering into our 4D capture lab, and this is where we can take any object or person and capture them from a 360 degree camera way and then transfer them into 4D.
And then we can animate you.
Well, you'd have to ask if that's something that I wanted to do, right?
Spread your fingers apart a tiny bit.
So how much can you see?
Can we talk about this for a second now?
One, two, three.
Lets do it.
That's it.
W-with the 4D version of uh, myself, would you be able to make me do things that I don't want to do?
Yes.
See, here it is.
I don't know how this works, do you?
Oh, boy.
I don't think I should've worn a peach shirt if I knew I was committing to a 4D action figure.
Would you call this an action figure?
