The Garden State ranks among the most dangerous states to give birth in, with maternal mortality rates among the highest in the nation. In her time as New Jersey's first lady, Tammy Murphy has headed initiatives to make the state safer for people giving birth. The first lady spoke to NJ Spotlight News about what she feels the state has done well, and what work remains to be done.
