New Jersey homebuyers are competing with corporations for properties. The Asbury Park Press analyzed millions of property records in the state over the past decade and found the number of limited liability corporations, or LLCs, that own homes soared from 12,000 in 2012 to 72,000 last year and one out of every three homes in New Jersey is purchased by an LLC.
