2021 proved to be a deadly year on the nation's roads and highways. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports nearly 43-thousand people were killed in traffic crashes — marking a 16-year high. In response, the U.S. Department of Transportation is now unveiling the National Roadway Safety Strategy, intended to reduce fatalities and make roads safer.
