Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the opioid crisis has worsened in Cook County. This year, the Cook County Medical Examiner's office has seen more than 1,500 people die in opiate-related cases. To try and bring these numbers down, some groups are pointing to telehealth as an accessible way to bring treatment to people.
