NEARBY, SARLAT IS THE PEDESTRIAN-FRIENDLY MAIN TOWN OF THE RIVER VALLEY.

SARLAT'S ELABORATE STONEWORK RECALLS ITS GLORY CENTURY FROM ABOUT 1450 TO 1550 -- AFTER THE HUNDRED YEARS' WAR.
