Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship- [Narrator] And now for the continuing adventures of Robbie Rocket.
- Who are you?
- I'm Robbie Rocket.
I'm looking for somewhere to land.
Who are you?
- I'm Jupiter.
The largest of the planets.
Tiny little Earth could fit in my eye three times over.
- You must have a lot of gravity.
- I have the most gravity except for the sun.
- [Robbie] Could you give me a place to land?
- I have nothing to land on.
I'm a gas giant.
While I might look larger than life, my mass is made of nothing more than dense gases like hydrogen and helium storming and crashing together over a hot center of gravity and heat.
Nothing survives Jupiter's fury.
- So, you're made up of only air?
I think I better find someplace a little calmer to call home.
- Yes, run Robbie, run from the king of the planets.
