Russia is pulling out of the International Space Station; ending its partnership with NASA

The chilly relations between Russia and the U.S. now extend into the chilly reaches of space. Reuters reports that Russia says it will withdraw from the International Space Station at least until its own outpost is built in 2028. This after the country said it was planning to leave the station after 2024. What does this sudden back-and-forth mean for the future of the laboratory?
