Funny Farm, a nonprofit, cares for 600 animals

Many of the 600 Funny Farm residents wander freely about the South Jersey animal sanctuary, where volunteers feed them, clean their stalls and help heal their emotional traumas. "They want nothing to do with us for the first couple days," said volunteer Karen Hager. "And then to gradually see them come to us as we feed them and as we love on them ... and then they become lap babies."
