More than 20 people were injured
A New Jersey Transit train operator died Monday morning after a River Line train struck a tree that had fallen onto the tracks in Mansfield Township. The train, traveling south from Trenton, hit the tree just before 6 a.m., killing the train operator and injuring 23 others. According to a statement from NJ Transit, all were “non life-threatening injuries and mostly minor.”
