(light music) - Beautiful and hot Lake Placid.
We are having the 30th Annual Caladium Festival, and the 24th Annual Car and Bike Show.
We have a great turnout of people here today.
We have all kinds of vendors from food to crafts, art.
We have exceeded our expectations for first day, and obviously, based on the crowd that we're seeing today, we typically run about 20,000 people for the three days.
I'm looking forward to well over 20,000 this year.
Lake Placid is known as the town of murals.
We have over 48 active murals on buildings all around the town.
Most are within walking distance of each other.
(light music) We're the caladium capital of the world, so that's one of the reasons why, obviously, when you come to Lake Placid, we have beautiful fields of caladiums.
We have bus tours that will take everybody who's interested on a nice, air-conditioned bus in the middle of this heat, and you'll be able to tour the fields.
We have four growers participating this year, and they all bring unique varieties of their own caladiums.
