News Wrap: More than half a million lose power as Tropical Storm Nicholas hits Texas

COVID-19 numbers in the United States are now averaging 170,000 cases per day — their highest levels since early March. Four former Minneapolis police officers involved pleaded not guilty to federal civil rights charges in the death of George Floyd.
