The 2020 South Dakota Governor's Buffalo Roundup

Special | 24m 38s

Custer State Park staff and volunteers on horseback roundup approximately 1450 buffalo, driving them from their summer pastures to corrals. The roundup is a way to identify calves born in the spring and summer and keep the herd size manageable. This epic Fall event has been a tradition in the Black Hills since 1914 and draws thousands of spectators every year.
